Description
Easy To Use Decon Clay Towel effortlessly removes above surface-bonded contaminants and fallout from paint and glass. This fine grade paint cleansing tool is designed with an ultra soft yet long lasting “Colli-Flex” rubberized polymer coating to create a smooth finish. As a convenient alternative to traditional clay, it can be used either in a wash bucket with soap and water or with 520 Quick Detailer/150 Slickr as a lubricant. Minimal to no pressure is required to gently remove debris mechanically, leaving painted and glass surfaces looking and feeling like new. Unlike a standard clay bar, the Decon Clay Towel can be used repeatedly once cleaned to treat 60+ vehicles.
Directions:
*Prior to first use, apply the Decon Towel (soaked in clean water) to automotive glass with clay lubricant in order prime and soften the rubber polymer coating.
First, wash entire vehicle using a standard wash mitt and desired soap. Rinse vehicle with water.
Gently run your hand across the panel on a dry portion of vehicle to check for subtle “roughness” or particles that may exist in your paint.
While vehicle is still wet, spray a generous amount of No. 150 Slickr or No. 520 Quick to a panel. With towel folded into 1/4’s, begin applying with minimal pressure over panel until the towel glides smooth.
Dry each panel with a clean microfiber towel or chamois. Repeat this process one section at a time until the vehicle is complete.
*If towel is dropped onto the ground or soiled, simply rinse and reuse.
Storage: Allow towel to air dry before storing. Do not allow Colli-flex rubber polymer to stick to itself. Once dry, store in original plastic packaging or concealed container by rolling towel up with microfiber (grey) side out.
Michael V Paquette –
This product is a game changer. You can fold it in quarters, and turn over for each panel, then rinse in a bucket of water. It is much more user friendly (and faster) than real clay, easier to hold onto. I used Optimum Instant Detailer and Gloss Enhancer for lube. I also noted that it removes smaller deposits of road tar. After decon applied 845.
